Twin to twin transfusion syndrome

I'd like to share a link with you about a couple that are related to one of our preschool teachers. You may or may not have heard of twin-to-twin tranfusion syndrome. A lot of couples have not and end up expereincing tragedy and heart break. I would like to help get the word out and so please log on to the link below and read and listen to this couple's story and while you are at it, say a prayer for them, I know they would appreciate it. God Bless

Ladies,
You've both been so great about checking on how Kim and her babies are doing. The Houston Chronicle has followed their story because they feel it is so important to get the news out about this disease and how easy it can be to check for it before babies are lost. I'm including the link to the article. I know you're in contact with young parents all the time and thought this might be something you'd like to be aware of.
Thank you so much for all the love and prayers over the last couple of months, first with my dad and now Kim. God is doing a real miracle with the babies, we're just praying they continue growing and getting stronger each day and that she will be able to carry them to at least 33 weeks(mid July), originally the due date was August 28th, but the doctors say they usually have to deliver them by the 33rd week because they may stop growing. Also, please pray that the babies will be free from any complications. There can be some mental problems or cerebral palsey from this situation, but that's just a possibility, not at all a sure thing.
Thank you again,
Love,
Vicki

Our children are in the preschool with Ms. Cathy.

As these babies have a story to tell, our little daughter did, too and I wanted to share it. Our daughter had a very rare umbilical cord emergency in utero diagnosed at 20 weeks...with high risk of still birth or many anomalies if she was not still born. Many people prayed for her.

There is a lot of uncertainty with these types of intrauterine diagnoses. I am also a pediatric nurse and am able to talk to parents about their babies with similar problems now.

Here is the link for my daughter's story....on the 2 Little Pumpkins Blog.
